Ivan Vidovic is an artist and designer based in Portland, Oregon, whose work moves between 3D, animation, visualization, fabrication, and digital tools. Curiosity and continual learning sit at the center of his practice. He is drawn to mathematics, light, sound, physical systems, and the ways different forms of knowledge connect. Rather than working within a fixed discipline, he follows ideas wherever they lead and learns what is necessary to make them possible.

Artwork & layers
Import & library
Drop images or folders into the library, or browse images / folder. Subfolders are included; empty folders and non-image files are skipped. Click a library graphic to place it. Ctrl / ⌘ + V pastes a copied image, adds it to your library, and asks where to place it. Cancel placement to keep it in the library only. Files stay in this browser.
PNG, JPG & SVG
Use transparent PNG or SVG for artwork without a background. SVGs are rasterized for the preview; the original file is kept for export.
Layer controls
Click a layer’s name to open its controls. Add here adds another graphic at that placement; Replace swaps its source image.
Switch garments
Front and back artwork keep their spacing, overlaps and proportions together. Full views share a body baseline and fixed garment proportions: hoodies occupy more vertical space, while tees stay shorter. Back artwork uses one shared registration guide, preserving the complete layout; placement names choose starting locations. Folds and hoods can still hide artwork.
Fit layout
In a front or back layer, Fit layout brings the visible artwork inside this garment’s panel. All layers on that side move and shrink together, including hidden layers. Undo restores the previous layout; switching garments never fits it automatically.
Move & duplicate
Move chooses a standard placement. Duplicate makes an independently editable copy. Left and right refer to the wearer; a hoodie’s hood can cover back-neck artwork.
Order & visibility
Drag the grip or use the arrow buttons to reorder. Higher layers appear on top. Use the eye to hide a layer or × to remove it.
Fit visible artwork
Ignore transparent margins when sizing the graphic. Opaque backgrounds remain part of the artwork.
Full sleeve
On supported long sleeves, choose Patch or Full sleeve. Full sleeve fits the artwork along the sleeve; adjust scale and position as needed.
Rename & undo
Use the pencil or double-click the name to rename. Undo and Redo restore design edits.
Sliders & reset
Drag a slider, type a number, or scroll over it. Hold Shift while scrolling for larger steps. Use the reset icon beside a control to restore its default.
Color & light effects
Original / Tint / Solid
Original keeps uploaded colors. Tint colors lighter areas while retaining dark shading. Solid uses one ink color with the mask settings below.
Color swatches
Click a swatch to edit or use the eyedropper to sample. Recent colors are shared between pickers; Tint and Solid remember separate colors.
Layer color
A small dot beside the layer name shows its custom Tint or Solid color. Hover for the mode and color value. Original mode has no dot.
Brand libraries
Open a shared link such as ?library=fireside or ?library=orb to browse that brand’s graphics. Originals download when selected. Existing designs stay in place. Used originals are included when saving or exporting; Include library also downloads and bundles unused brand graphics.
Glow in the dark
Enable per layer, then adjust its intensity. The effect fades in across deeper shadows, with suppression in brighter scenes to keep ordinary folds from glowing strongly. Brighter artwork colors give a stronger result.
UV reactive
Enable per layer and choose UV lighting to preview the effect. Enabling Glow or UV leaves the color picker closed; adjust the swatch yourself.
Glossiness
Artwork glossiness applies across the artwork layers. Fabric color and finish are controlled separately.
Solid masks & edges
Auto
Uses Alpha for single-color artwork and Brightness for tonal artwork. New uploads start with Auto. Older designs keep Brightness until you change it.
Brightness
Light pixels become ink; dark pixels reveal fabric. Source transparency also limits coverage. Invert mask makes dark artwork become ink instead.
Alpha
Uses transparency as coverage, regardless of the artwork’s color. Choose this for a single-color transparent PNG. Invert does not affect Alpha.
Cutoff & Softness
Cutoff removes faint coverage. Lower Softness makes a harder, heavier transition; higher Softness makes it gentler. In Brightness mode these follow shading; in Alpha they follow transparency.
Flat shapes
Fully opaque shapes have no interior gradient for Cutoff or Softness to change. Use Spread and Edge softness to shape their boundaries, or pattern Erosion to break up the interior.
Spread
Negative values thin the shape; positive values expand it. Expansion stays within the source image bounds.
Edge softness
Softens the shape’s boundary. It also stays within the source image bounds.
Print textures
Dots & Lines
Spacing sets the distance between marks. Dot size or Line width changes their thickness independently. Angle rotates the pattern.
Grain
Organic random noise. Grain size sets its coarseness; Tone response and Erosion control how it breaks up the artwork. Grain has no separate spacing control.
Pixel
Turns source color and transparency into square blocks before color treatment. Pixel scale sets block size. Only Pixel scale is shown for this pattern.
Tone response
Follows shading before Solid cutoff, or alpha when using an Alpha mask. Original and Tint follow transparency. Set to 0 for texture that does not follow the artwork’s tones.
Erosion
Removes ink even from fully solid areas. Use it with Dots, Lines or Grain to introduce gaps without changing the source artwork.
Fine detail
Small patterns may blend into smooth coverage when too fine to resolve. Zoom in to inspect them; preview sharpness still depends on texture resolution. Solid and texture edits keep the last sharp result visible while the next update is prepared. Exports wait for the final settings.
Existing designs
Older texture versions keep their previous treatment until a texture control changes. The newer Grain treatment now uses organic noise.
Exported texture
The artwork package includes smooth treated PNGs, additional textured PNGs where enabled, and unchanged originals. Patterns are visual effects, not calibrated screen separations.
Cameras & preview
Navigate
Drag to rotate; scroll or pinch to zoom. Use Reset view to recenter. Detail opens close-ups available for the current garment.
View on garment
Click a layer thumbnail, even when collapsed, or its View button to focus the placement. Zoom closer to inspect texture.
Sleeve inspection
Sleeve cameras orbit around the center inside each sleeve, making front-to-back inspection easier. Hoodies have separate wrist pivots; all are calibrated per garment.
Leave a close-up
Zoom out to return toward the garment center, choose Done in artwork controls, or use Reset view. Close sleeve zoom keeps some clearance from the fabric.
Motion & Present
Choose Still, Gentle or Breezy above the preview. Present hides the interface; Esc leaves Present. Motion pauses during Export All.
Lighting & appearance
Presets
Studio is neutral; Soft gives gentler contrast; Day adds warm daylight and cool sky fill; Night adds city lighting; UV previews black-light effects.
Intensity
Type a higher value to extend the slider, or drag to its end and release. UV and Night remember their own intensity settings.
City night
Dim streetlight with passing headlights and occasional red brake lights. Choose Off, Subtle or Active traffic; pause to hold a moment. Export All holds lighting steady across views.
Runway
A moving overhead spotlight and a light passing across the front and back on alternating passes reveal the garment between uneven camera-flash bursts. Standard uses a measured pace; Active speeds up the spotlights and adds stronger, denser bursts. Activity sets the pace; Flash intensity sets their brightness. Pause holds a lighting moment.
Afterglow
A circling light charges artwork marked Glow in the dark. Charge speed sets the cycle; Fade seconds sets how long the simulated charge remains. Pause holds the light and glow.
Projector
Choose Caustics, Stripes, Interference, Ripples, Liquid, Cellular, Kaleidoscope or Shards. Adjust scale, motion speed and angle; the new patterns also offer distortion, with symmetry for Kaleidoscope. Projection colors supports one solid color or two to four colors in a linear or radial gradient. Flow animates the palette at its own speed. Pause freezes both pattern and colors. Fine scale reaches 0.01; detail below the projection resolution blends smoothly. Self-shadows block light behind folds. Colors affect mockups, not flat print artwork. Older Geometry projects retain their original pattern.
Animated presets
Runway, Afterglow and Projector remember separate intensity settings. Fix lights in scene is available for every preset: checked holds the rig still; unchecked lets the lights follow your view. Pause stops their animation; they start paused when reduced motion is requested. Export All freezes the lighting across views. These are preview effects, not treatments baked into print artwork.
Fix lights in scene
Keeps the light rig stationary as you rotate your view. Otherwise lighting follows the view.
Self-shadows
Adds shadows from folds and overlapping fabric. Main creative spotlights use sharper shadows on desktop, with lighter settings on mobile. Turn off to improve performance on slower devices.
Background & grid
Choose the background and grid in Environment. UV, Runway, Afterglow and Projector use a dark backdrop and faint grid. Returning to regular lighting restores your previous background.
Theme
Light mode uses neutral, muted colors. Match fabric to theme also switches fabric color; manually choosing a fabric color turns that option off.
White fabric in UV
White and near-white fabric gain a light-blue base in UV mode. Your chosen fabric color stays unchanged in other lighting presets.

Projector includes Neuro Noise, Warp, God Rays, Mesh Gradient, Grain Gradient and Radial Bloom, adapted from Paper Shaders. Scale uses logarithmic travel for fine control below 1 while retaining a maximum of 300. Motion speed reaches 4000, with 0 stopping motion. Radial Bloom sends blended colors outward within a fixed spotlight footprint. Projection effects affect mockups, not printed artwork.

Maze and Branching cut organic patterns through artwork. Scale controls spacing, Thickness changes strand width, and Density changes the structure. New variation generates another arrangement. Tone and Erosion retain their usual controls. Natural branching grows long connected trunks and varied offshoots across the artwork; Repeat keeps the original tiled texture. Natural Scale zooms a larger continuous network around the artwork center. Smaller values show more of the pattern; larger values zoom in. Thickness controls strand width independently, and Density changes growth coverage. The shuffle icon beside Pattern generates a new variation. Fine strands retain empty space instead of filling the silhouette. At extreme settings, detail is limited by the preview or export pixel resolution. Rounding reshapes the combined artwork and erosion with crisp edges, before Solid Edge softness. Higher values remove fine detail. The same variation and rounding settings are saved with your design and used in treated print exports.

Artwork folders
Artwork contains one smooth treated PNG per layer. Artwork-textured adds patterned versions where enabled. Originals contains each used original once. Hidden layers are included and identified in the reference file.
Treatment & placement
Treated files include the ink color, mask and edge treatment; textured versions also include the pattern. Garment placement, lighting, gloss, Glow and UV illumination are not baked into artwork files. Use mockups and the included reference file for context.
Layered PSD layouts
One document per occupied print surface. Related front or back placements share a layout; sleeves, neck tags and hood panels have their own. Named treated layers retain their order, position, rotation and visibility. A hidden untreated group is aligned underneath, plus a hidden gray background for inspecting white art. Fold and lighting effects are not baked in.
Print sizing
Torso layouts start with a 12 × 18 inch canvas at 300 PPI. Set larger canvas dimensions for oversized prints. Artwork width scales the whole composition proportionally; its height follows automatically. Fit to canvas fills the available area without stretching. Canvas size and artwork size are separate. PSDs are pixel layers; originals, including SVGs, remain available separately.
For the printer
Check the chosen physical size on the actual blank. Screen frames need extra margins beyond the artwork. Layouts preserve graphics beyond panel edges, so use the mockups to check seams and hood coverage. These RGB files are a starting point for production; separations, underbase and screen settings remain the printer’s decisions. Larger raster exports cannot restore detail missing from a small source.
